The Metropolitan Transportation Authority police department said that a Metro-North train struck Elliott at the Talmadge Hill station in New Canaan on Saturday at about 11:10 p.m. Emergency personnel found him dead on scene. No signs of illegal behavior related to the incident were reported by the MTA.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is investigating the cause and manner of death for Elliott. Results as of Monday were pending.
